A Common Medicare Mistake

This past weekend I made a quick video to answer a very common question I receive from folks who are going onto Medicare for the first time. (This video includes a cameo from Vivian, my curly haired four year old who decided she needed to spend most of the afternoon on my lap, no matter what plans I had in mind!)

A common misconception is that it is beneficial to go with the same insurance company for your Part D Rx plan as you do for your Medicare Supplement Plan. This is usually NOT the case.

Medicare Supplement coverage is completely separate from Medicare Part D Rx coverage, and your plan benefits will most likely be administered by two separate carriers if you are shopping for the plans that have the overall best coverage and price for your needs.
